Fractal Systems Inc. (FSI) was founded in 1997 by Dr, Matt Aldissi to conduct cutting edge research and development (R&D) on conductive polymers, nanomaterials and nanocomposites for electronic and electrochemical applications. FSI is committed to delivering consistently excellent research and to creating pre-commercial products and prototypes. The majority of FSI projects has been funded through SBIR (Small Business innovative Research) Program. During the fifteen years of existence FSI has been focusing on various applications of conducting polymers, such as nanocomposites, shielding, radar-absorbing materials, batteries, capacitors and electrochemical sensors. To focus on biosensor development, FSI spinned-off SPRC (Smart Polymers Research Corp.) by the end of 2004. FSI has multiple peer-reviewed publications and patents on conducting polymer applications.
